I like Cheese

I like Cheese
I have it on a regular basis
The last Cheese what I had
It was Goats Cheese
It come with a side salad
What I got Purchase wise
From Marks and Spencer
On South End Green
Next to the Royal Free
When I went in there
The sentinel on the door
Gestured to remind me to put on a mask
I told her that I am exempt
I mean We all are
The Royal Free is the first shop
What I went to last year
And I saw people keeping away from each other
I done a Poem about it
I didn’t know what it was all about
I had to Google it
I think that people who participate in Soziale Distanzierung
They are criminal murderers
I would kill them all Right now
If I could
Every last one of them
Scum Filth Garbage
Anyway I have Cheddar sometimes
I went through a phase
Of having 2 toasted cheese sandwiches
Made from sliced white With Eggs and Bacon
Every morning
Cheddar
A few years ago
Then I had a funny feeling I ought to get a Carbon Monoxide detector
I have no idea why
Anyway I got one from Sam In B & S Homecare D.I.Y In Kentish Town
The best shop in London
I have had that Cooker for 30 years
I found it in The Chapel Flat 8 when I moved in
It was there I fixed it up
The Grill I mean when I got it
The grill would not go
I took the bastard to bits
I cleaned it up Anyway
I been living with a Grill It has been Fucking me
With Carbon Monoxide For 30 years
The Hobs are alright
On that gas cooker
The one at the front On the left
You have to keep it from being on too hard
Or it spits out the Death as well
I don’t have no cheese toasted sandwiches no more
I have got a packet of Feta In the fridge
There is something very very funny
About the Refrigerator
I got it a few years ago
After the one that Martha gave me in 1990
Died
Before that I never had one
I used to keep the milk outside
The kitchen window
On the ledge
In the winter
It was 10 years old
That fridge
When Martha give it to me
She is an Architect
I think she believes in Al Qaioviddiqui
I am not sure
But if she does
I wish that she was dead as well
And you too
I really do
If you do
Really
She lives just around the corner
I moved in here in 2018
They put me in here
Because the Chapel was redeveloped It was crumbling
The Chapel was built in 1983 From concrete
I don’t live in The Chapel no more I come here
This is a house made from bricks
I bump in to her from time to time
Jose used to like to go to orgies with his Black Wife
Jose is not attracted to white women at all
He is Black only
Jose is from Espanol
He is a really kind man
He said that
She sucked his cock in an Orgy
And that it drew a big audience
Anyway
The one I have got now
The refrigerator
I got it from Argos
I didn’t have no money for it
I had to use my credit card
Anyway
Not that long ago
The noise from it began to bother me
I mean My perception changed
I understood what that humming is
I see it now alright
It is Death
From being nothing to me
That noise
It became Death
I am cognizant now
I cannot be in the room with it on no more
I turn it off when I am in there
I put it on when I am out of the room
Such as At work
Or in bed
I used to love Parmesan Cheese
Lashings of it
On spaghetti
De Cecco is the best Pasta
I had the spaghetti
With sundried tomatoes
Olive Oil
And Salami
The best Parmesan I had
Was from an Italian Deli In Fitzrovia
Just up from Seven Dials
Gouged from the round With a metal spike
That was in 1992
Incredible
The best sundried tomatoes
What I ever had
Were the ones from Salvino
On Brecknock Road
They were thickly caked in sea salt and very very chewy
I been through all sorts of phases
With all sorts of cheese
As you do From 1990 to 2003
I was a shelf stacker
In Sainsburys Camden 2100 - 0700 - 10 hour night shift
I done weekends
You got paid more for that
Anyway
I always done the Cheese
Or the Cooked meats
Sainsburys was where I really learned first hand
What Evil is
Up close and personal
I done it
That Job
So that I could paint pictures on my time off
In the winter I saw no light at all
During the 13 winters
Living that way
Arising at 1600 Retiring at 0800
Every day
Due to needing to not disrupt my sleeping patterns
What come from working at night at the weekend
So I was fit to paint
Going for months at a time
Without seeing the sun
Is something that you ought to try
I really mean it
Working at night
Is bad for you
It slowly destroys you
Because it is not what God intended you to do
For every year that you live nocturnal
You will need 6 months to get your strength back
Your vitality
It was seven years
From after I left that job
Before I felt my feet
Reconnect to the planet
That is just the way that it is
I used to like painting a real lot
I don’t know why
When you see Sainsburys on TV
You don’t see the Rats and the Mice
The droppings and the filth
The suffering and the humiliation
The Death
Funny that.
